Very interesting and look at the torque and the rpm.

4 cylinders
2.0 liters
245 hp
350 nm@1250 rpm

Will debute in the X1.

Well now the others know what is needed to stay in the game. In all honesty this isn't as good as I expected, already the 2.0TFSi produces more than this, though this amount of torque from so little revs is impressive.

Just read up about the engine, sounds interesting and some of the stats are very impressive, especially emissions and economy, imagine how good they could become in a little, light car with better aerodynamic and less demanding drivetrain.

If this state of tune is labelled 28i (I know BMW's number system confuses the best of us) then I suspect this very same engine will be used to replace the 30i too, probably with 280-285hp.

I agree, very interesting engine. But the 2,0T misses out on the power and torque at low revs. The last one isn't that far off though. Consumption seems equal as well. But at power the beemer has this one.
