Hey guys, New to the forum so i thought i'd drop this in here. Sorry if it belongs someplace else and feel free to move it if need be. Hit me up if you're interested! Thanks!!
So, I installed this RS6 SE Catback on my S6 Avant and honestly, its a little too loud for my taste. Prefer to sell outright, but would also trade for a Milltek, Custom, Magnaflow or something similar that is 2.5" all the way back. Willing to throw in cash as part of the right deal if necessary. Thanks for looking and let me know what you guys think!
Not my car, but is an excellent representation of how mine sounds... Same setup.

It is too loud and you are considering Milltek??? I had the SE, switched to Milltek- and it certainly isn't quieter...Of course- I prefer the growl and it is non-resonated...

Yeah, i think it definitely sounds different on the NA V8 and not sure i really dig it, so will probably go with a Magnaflow/Custom setup.

Straight off the picture card. You can see in the first pic where the pipe was shortened on one side when they milltek downpipes were put on the car. I had the SE exhaust fitted to the Milltek downpipes and then later put the Milltek exhaust on. Thus, the OEM exhaust resides in a box..

Yes- they cut the pipe so it could match up to the Milltek downpipes.

so, I would have to find a 2.75" length/section of piping to weld on there...

Nope, boring ol' standard silver tipped exhaust...

That's horrible! While yours is off, might be a good time to put a transverse bar to good use and gut those downpipes!

I am in a smog unfriendly state, if not one of the toughest, not sure it is worth it.
I have to smog every two years...

I can't remember the last time I had a car inspected.

I would think so and they may have left the cut off portion in the box.

I assume a qualified muffler shop/tech could get it installed relatively easily. However; don't trust me as I know nothing about muffler installations.

Question on the native CA RS 6'S do they have extra emmisions (SMOG) equipment or do they just have to pass a test where the put a sensor in the tip and run a test? I've never owned a CA car, and looking to bring one to TX.
