Anytime that you remove the ECU or TCU, unplug the battery, or alter your map.

It goes pretty quickly. You should adapt the kickdown (063) too -- for that one you hold the pedal to the floor. PM me with your e-mail and I can send the full BCY readiness procedure from eBahn to you.

Ugg, I'm just tired, the TB adaptation is easy, But when I did 63 for kick down I didn't gave ignition on, error code came up. So I did start engine went into basic tried to adapt block 63 and all get is an error code....never time to do it right, always time to do it over....

I tried to reset my TB adaptation today, key on engine off, measuring block 060, press GO, but basic settings button was not "on"..... Adaptation read ok, and engine temp was normal hot, why could I not reset? TIA

For many of the ignition on, engine off adaptions Vagcom recommends to have the car on a battery charger as the computer works best (less chance of failures or faults) with good voltage.
