Weird that no one has a comment on the TTRS being faster than RS5!

Well honesty in my view I don't think the TTRS values are realistic... can you imagin 3.9 sec that si really low for a stock TTRS even with stronic.... it just does not make sense to me...

torque gets you moving. but high speeds are all about hp. per the chart the TT gets the RS5 from the dig, but the RS5 is catching up by the 1/4 mile. it'll rape the TT in the 100+ mph range. so what? it is just one race. i can see these cars trading stoplight drag race wins all day. the RS5 will always have the high speed dominance, logically.

Don't understand how you came to that conclusion, sure that TT gets the jump at the start, probably a combination of less weight to get moving and slightly better tyre width to weight ratio for better grip but beyond this point I don't see where the RS5 started to claw back time, the same 0.4s gap that was present at 100km/h was still there at both the 160km/h and 200km/h trap speeds.
Overall the TTRS controlled that race, all the RS5 did was stay in touch but never closed the gap.

TT-RS: 450 Nm/1600-5300 rpm
RS5: 430 Nm/4000-6000 rpm
That is what RXBG meant i think....with the TT-RS you have more torque over a much wider range than with the TT-RS ... that's the reason for the good time of the TT-RS...
TT-RS: 340 hp
RS5: 450 hp
That makes the RS5 so fast at higher speeds...it just logical that the RS5 with more ccm and more hp is faster at higher speeds...

But at no point did the RS5 claw back time and frankly if there's no change by 125mph then chances are by their respective speed limiters the TT would probably still be in the lead.

TT in 3.9 sec sorry but let us stay on hearth. This is pure dream !
Now that the TT keeps up with the RS5 makes total sense and is no surprise at all.

plus the TTRS has no torque at 1600 rpm... it start more around min 2500rpm....
I've seen at least 3 TTRS on dynos and the curves are far different than what is announced.... on the other hand it is typically a little higher than the 450Nm annouced too (around 460 to 480 in practive power being bascially right at 340 some at 330 some at 345)

Yeah finaly my thread got some comments:)
Its not how much peak hp you got its about how much average hp you actually use.
The TTRS may have more average power over its powerband with the help of a Turbo and therefore use more average hp with the correct gearing ,and obviously its lighter weight to.
Seems like the V8 FSI in RS5 is underperforming to just like in B7 RS4 ,some car magazines say that the B8 S4 can keep up with the RS5 to.
About how much torque you get from a TTRS in the low rpm range i think is how you measuring it.
I think if you lying steady at the measuring start 1600rpm and just go full trottle it takes some time for the Turbo to spin up to make boost and therefore not achieve max torque until higher rpm.
But if you start at 1000rpm and go full trottle you may already have full boost and max torque when reaching the measuring start at 1600rpm.
