Holy crap, I have never seen the movie, James Garner, ooofa he can drive, accomplished etc....intense race scenes, those men had balls. I have le mans on DVD as well, next film.

Yup! OUR generation saw it way back when. I think it came out in the early 70's. Have you seen the famous BULLIT car chase? How about Vanishing Point and Le Mans? I just heard about these movies though. Yeah yeah!

I have le mans DVD came with grand prix, next viewing this weekend, the racing cinematography is awesome.

While Grand Prix is a very good movie (albeit dated), I still feel Le Mans is the quintessential racing movie. Stallone's Driven was a disaster. And, I've heard that there are plans to re-make Le Mans, which I couldn't disagree with more. However, Hollywood needs to keep the engines humming.

I can watch Le Mans over and over and NEVER get tired of it.
