The yellow engine symbol on the speedometer dash came on yesterday (just below the red ABS symbol that goes off after start). I searched the owner's manual and it is similar to the MIL but doesn't have the lightning bolt and the CHECK; it's just a picture of an engine.

That would mean that it's emissions related, probably just a small evap leak. Scan it.
Edit: Nevermind, our cars don't actually display a lightning bolt and the word "check". That's a regular MIL. Get it scanned, you can have it done at any chain parts store for free. I guess I haven't seen a check engine light lately, weird.
