Innovation is good and glad some folks are working at it.

It looks like the gauge functions are simply the data avail from OBDII interface. Very limited data capture but cool factor to show passengers.

If the engine management functions are really changing maps over a wifi connection then good luck with that. It may be just the switching function in which case that is better but really why is the wifi even needed.

In the end, the gauge data is simply the OBDII standard features with are limited and very slow.

Vagcom wins.

Someday soon the VAGCOM is going to be an older Audi tool and the new cars will be totally wireless.

Sounds kinda like this tool that was made for the 996 Turbo's, but more high tech. Plugs into the OBD port. Kinda cool...Not wireless or anything and doesn't upload or download anything, strictly reads from the OBD port. Can see IAT, Coolant temp, A/F, rpm's (has a shift light, you can see in the corner) 10626
