After having several nightmares with my beloved c5 rs6 i decided to just stick in a new engine ( refurb ). Ive had the car resprayed ibis white and everything that was aluminium is now Matt black, down to the small details i.e wheels, rails, mirrors, Audi rings, edges of the rs6 badges. I've had the drc replaced with k.w 3 coil overs. She's arriving in two days providing the transport company doesn't mess me about!

I will post a few pics this week

Yeah they scammed me for 7000 euro! To be honest I didn't do nearly enough research on what would be considered a good price, still don't know! Never mind, the bill is long gone and the car is on the way! Luvin it

Well if you want full history.....I bought the car and drove it for about 8 months. In this time I experienced many problems. Each time taking the car to my local Audi dealer. Unfortunatley every time there would be a new problem. The car became worse and worse and I became very tired of my Audi dealer. I found what I hope to be a decent tuning specialist and started the project. My original engine is being rebuilt and heavily tuned. The rebuilt engine I bought is just so I can drive around for the meantime.

So still curious what happened to the motor that requires replacement or a rebuild??

As you can probably tell I'm far from a expert... According to the guys working on my car, a bolt had come loose and had shot around the engine causing a lot of damage. They think that it was mainly down to a poor service of the car at some point. Apparently what happened if serviced correctly should not be possible.
