this is the sexiest and best looking german/non-german mid range sedan on the market. i am actually surprised by how aggressively they styled it. i was expecting something dull and conservative. this car looks better than the A7; it is better proportioned and balanced. no awkward angles on this thing. audi hit a home run with this one.

BUT, I like new BMW 5 series as well and belive it or not new Mercedes CLS is for me the best Mercedes sedan in recent years.

Since I need car in that class for daily driver choice is hard one:

Need to think hard about what to order...

Photoshop for now but unless the RS styling changes I think what we are seeing here will be pretty close, also Qisha has confirmed that the RS6 will come to the USA.

I too love the CLS, much more than the 5 series but the option of having quattro and the looks of the A6 both inside and out would make the decision an easy one to stick with Audi.

I'm pretty confident to say that the S6/7 will come equipped with the 4.0TFSi and probably approaching the same 450hp that the RS5 has, but I'm not sure if this engine will be used in the RS6/7. Say that it's slightly lighter than what the M5 ends up at, that would mean it would still required 560/570hp to remain competitive.

560-570hp from 4.0L means 140-142.5hp per litre, doable but surely close to the limit while still being reliable.

Wider fenders please, and no upper beltline/bend in the upper fenders and quarters. They look too much like the C6. I would prefer a smoother roll on the fender flares - and wider. The side view of those taillights is really bad. If the above get changed, I will be very happy to replace my C5. Oh, and 600 hp at 4k lbs or less.

Nice looking car, but the new 550 ix sport already has a twin turbo V8 and AWD for about 80,000 completely loaded with equipment! If Audi is going to start out with a smaller engine, less power, where will the RS6 end up being priced? Dinan has an upgrade for the 550 TT V8 and THAT transmission CAN handle the power. We shall see.

info on these photoshops:
Blue RS6
- I changed the colour to an audi blue
- Took the wide fenders from a C6 RS6 picture and blended it in with the A6 as well as the side skirt, hence the difference in colour
- Replaced stock rims with RS5 rims

Silver RS6 chop
- Photoshopped out the website watermark
- Replaced grill, front and rear bumper from an RS5
- Widened the fenders a little

I believe the RS6 will be equipped with a different bumper, but I just wanted to see how it would look as an RS.

It's time for the USA Dealers to take serious responsability over some special models ( RS6, S6, S8 and upcoming RS5 ) and be WELL EDUCATED in this vehicles just mentioned. I say this because I have a friend that works for BMW in Macon, GA and they send their techs. twice a year to Atlanta and some to Germany to get updated trainings and also on corrections to be made on special old models recalls to do it correctly, not like the one Audi did on the RS6 DRC systems and kept cars for over a week for an 6-8 hour job. By the way, pay attention to the BMW garage areas. their clean working areas and floors, and the presentation of the whole service area. If we are going to support their products, they have to provide a Dealer Service that goes along with the quality of cars they put in their lots and showrooms. Finally, we have to make direct complaints to Audi Corporation Headquarters. They also have to review the way the charge for the services, is abusive. Lately I've been taking mine to a friends dealer in Brookfield, WI were he sells and service, Ferraris, Alfa Romeos, Lamborghinis, BMW, Audi, Mercedes, Volvo, Saab, mainly italians and germans. Let's get together for the New Year. Happy and Healthy 2011.
