New VW Amarok features something called 2.0 Bi-TDI...

http://www.volkswagen-nutzfahrzeuge.de/de/de/fahrzeuge/amarok/highlights/motoren.html

163 hp, 400 Nm...

Is that twin turbo 2.0 TDI engine, and if it is, why it isn't allready in Audi and other VAG cars...?!

Interesting. A lot of torque there.

I've only seen that enginge in the new VW Transporter T5/Multivan where it has 180hp and the same 400nm. I'm curious about the 200hp version what torque will it have and when can we test it finally ..

400nm from a TDi engine is insane...nice work ;).

I just arrived from Buenos Aires, saw a few of them over there as well as here in Santiago. Let me tell you the Amarok is a Very nice looking pickup truck...sadly though the options you have here are too many, Mitsubishi has the L200, Nissan has the Frontier, Toyota has the Hi-lux, Mazda has a rebadged version of the Ranger, Ford has the Ranger, Chevrolet has another one available...anyways, I don't think they will sell a lot of them.

But anyways, I guess this pick up is what the GTi is to the sport hot hatches...more of a grown up version of what you usually find on other models.
