View Full Version : Part number for RS6 hood

Looking for the part number for the RS6 hood. Is the hood a different part than for the 4.2 A6? I know ours is aluminum.

I am thinking of doing the MTM hood vents, if I do I may just pick up a used 4.2 hood, or a new one (only 450.00 from stealer) and keep the factory hood and not cut it.

Any thoughts?

The RS6 hood is p/n 4B3 823 029B

The A6 4.2 hood p/n is 4B1 823 029B

I bet you can find a used RsS6 hood that you could mod up instead of buying a new 4.2 one.

Thank you very much. RS6 hood just 562. Probably be much easier to mod, paint and install a new one rather than a used one...although would still have to buy a bunch of ittle other stuff to make it complete. I will look around for a used hood.

Skribe had one - kinda

Both were wadded up like tin foil...

What is that place that has all the salvaged Audi parts, Shokan?

I emailed them this morning... I will let you know either way.

It would be a GREAT project hood for some HEADSHOT vents .... :)

Check out www.car-part.com (http://www.car-part.com) for used hoods. No RS6, but about 25 A6 4.2 hoods.

Is the $562 from the dealer shipped?
