Hi all, I'm new around here, and just picked up an RS6 and decided to join the forum....glad I stumbled upon this site :)

I was tired of looking at my slightly scuffed aluminum shift gate so I decided to wrap it in some carbon look wrap since I still have a wack of it from a previous project....a bit of a pain to get all he details just right, but personally I think it paid off.... Let me know you guys think ;)

enjoy (sorry for the crappy Blackberry pics :P )

thanks :D

It was a bit of a pain to trim all of the holes and wrap the edges due to it's small size, but it the end it came out as I expected... Lots of little details to be done to get the RS6 to my standards :P but it will be fun!!

I like it...especially as mine is getting scratched...i think i would like that against my wood surround.

thanks..... That was the problem with mine.... The aluminum got scuffed over time and it looked horrible....so I had a bunch of material left so I said what the heck

hmm maybe I should get people to send me down their shifter gates and I can cover them up in the material for a small fee ;)

Welcome to Forum, new here is well. Like the carbon look. new take on old design. Audi owners tend to be rather meticulous so I'd expect nothing less than perfection when task is done. Good job.

thanks :)

and if anyone gets me to do one of these for them I guarantee that if will be perfection before it leaves my hands....I don't think you'll meet any one more anal than myself....

anyways, I thought I'd throw it our there in case someone wants to do this but is too scared to tackel it on their own....the nice things is that the adhesive I use will make it 100% reverseable.

here's the console and switch panel I did in my 90 Skyline GTR last year , I think they turned out great (don't mind my e-brake and shifter, they were replaced shortly after :P )

Oh, OK. Your signature led me to believe maybe you had something either fabbed up or aftermarket. Careful with the K&N's, don't over oil. ;)

I really like what you did with the shifter plate. One question though, did you consider matching the angle of the existing cf around the plate, or did you like the offset better?
