In this particular Motronic system you will be screwing up the calcs for metered air. The end result could be a poorly running car, CEL, fouled plugs and a host of other potentials.

I dont think many on the forum have gone down this road.

Yeah...no. What Dave said. Don't mess with the system or it'll mess right back with ya. ;-)

Chaching -- my thoughts exactly. I was going to suggest a speaker too. DVs do what they are supposed to do as Dave said blow off would be a very bad move. If you want some more sound (other than the roar of the engine and turbos spinning up) get the APR DVs and you can pretend to be a flock of geese!

Just make sure you don't get the "Canadian geese" springs in your DV's...you could bring down an airplane!

With the Apikol intake, you get a huge "blow off" noise when I let off.

yokust, looking at the Apikol intake, aren't you sucking in all the hot engine compartment air?

WTF.

This site is getting pretty weird.

Fake turbos!
Fake Pop-off Sounds!

I thought the collection of Fake RS6's was strange enough.

thanks for the replies! i am leaning towards that the intake (sponge type) can cause the dump valve sound.. we had the apr intake on a 1.8t a4 with forge 007 DVs.. and it makes a nice sound when u let go of the gas... so i think i should check intake

I really didn't know what to expect when I clicked on that link, perhaps the reason it wasn't embedded? Lmao William tells Canadian geese airline interceptors.
