"This car was purchased at auction over 3years ago with minor damage to the right front fender and front bumper, which were replaced with GENUINE AUDI OEM parts, at a cost of $1600 , becouse of the damage, I had this car FHP and DMV inspected before it was registered , it will be sold with a florida rebuilt title, NOT SALVAGE, you can register it anywhere"

Yeah but not worth it, IMO... miles be damned, it was still at auction and he SAYS not salvage, but who is he to judge????

actually a rebuilt title is issued after a salvage title car is repaired. not all states recognize rebuilt titles. bottom line: its a salvage and definitely not worth $28k

Minor damage, read- totaled front end, why else a salvage? Bent frame, etc. There was a guy in n Carolina that is selling a salvage for 15k w/60k miles on here.....

Yep, MN does not distinguish between salvage and rebuilt titles, here it would have a salvage title. And who is he trying to kid, by law he had to have it inspected by the state before they would issue title and registration. It's always "minor damage" with these guys.

An insurance company is not going to total a $30,000 car for $1,600 worth of damage. Maybe $16,000 though. Perhaps the seller forgot a zero?

Some states have rebuilt titles which simply means the vehicle was salvaged at one point in it's life.

Rule of thumb is a Salvage title vehicle is worth 30-50 percent less than a comparable clean title vehicle.

Personally I have nothing against salvaged vehicles, however I wouldn't pay the same price as a non salvaged vehicle and I'd get a full inspection including frame measurements.
