Posting info about warranty quotes and experiences here.
I'm still looking into getting the car + warranty, but here was what I found out:
Barrier:
For a car with 52k miles on it as of September 2010:
Fidelity Gold Plus 100 deductible (subject to PPI, which you must pay for - 250, cost can be credited towards warranty)
3 yr/36k - 4500
4 yr/48k - 5000
5 yr/60k - 5900
Platinum 250 dollar deductible + tire hazard insurance (I didn't want the tire insurance, they added it when I wanted them to lower price..)
4 yr/48k - 5400
5 yr/60k - 6300
There was still some room to negotiate prices, and they seemed more receptive when I had other warranty company quotes. I didn't get into asking questions about mods.
A Reno Audi dealer didn't care about mods because Fidelity ultimately says yay or nay on repairs. They will sell it to you, but you may not get covered if you have them.
