new R8 2014. so about 1.5 years later. audi would need to let the new gallardo take the limelight alone for a year. i've always predicted that there will be an LP590 before all is said and done for this generation.

i've heard from at least two perennially correct sources that the engine is capable of 590 hp. maybe that is one reason why MTM is claiming about that much from its simple ECU mod on the R8.

*next R8 will come in about one year after the next Gallardo (like the current ones' schedule).
*guessing new Gallardo in Geneva 2012, R8 in Paris 2012 or Geneva 2013
