Postage stamp pics!

Can you open a photobucket account and post full size?

Is that the gunmetal color from VMR?

Looking good so far. What did you do to the taillights?

Looking good! These cars looks so much better with a little drop... love that style of wheel, looks like HRE P40 ($$$$) or VMR 710 ($$)

Have to admit I was skeptical on the black trim but it's a very cool look with all the contrast, and now you're actually making me want to de-badge. :vhmmm:

And you should pick up the iphone HDR app... these photos would've POPPED.

(I used the old copy the URL of the attachment and re-paste as inline photo trick. vBulletin. So lame)

Coming along quite well Covertw12. I noticed a hint of orange in your clear corners. Get a set of Stealth Bulbs. There almost invisible when turned off, and orange when on. I am also considering painting my wheels a darker shade of gray. A Titan or Gunmetal type of gray. They look real good on yours. Also I would like to hear what your impression is on the Gutting your Cats. Keep up the good work......

Looks great! The ride height is perfect. I love the look of the blacked out trim.....on other peoples cars. What did they use? Black vinyl or painted?
Wait until you get the exhaust finished up, it opens up a whole new personality for the car (and the driver :)).

Thanks for upsizng the pics ! I'll open a photobucket acct. once I've got decent pics...

Yep the rims are VMR's in Gunmetal - really nice finish and light enough for the money...they really did a nice job getting the concave look of the M40.... for about a 1/8th of the price !!

Still lot's to do but I smile just thinking of driving ..... My daughter last night put it best as we merged onto 95 and booted up.... "daddy - your new car is WAYYYYYY more fun then the old car even if it doesn't have Tv's in it.....it's like a spaceship. Go faster....." good genes that kid !

cheers~

I'm know this is WAY below your level of knowledge, Pat..., just sharing my experience -

This summer I did a cheap DIY trim blackout with a roll of vinyl from pep boys. The stuff looks very good if you take the time to put it on correctly... it looked OEM perfect and held up great, but I ultimately decided I didn't like it and peeled it off. Which is a great feature of vinyl, it has an undo function. Black window trim needs a pretty dark tint to look right INMHO, seems spot-on on erich's car.

Hmmmm...might play with this idea this weekend...

I tried the tape myself but didn't get the result I wanted on the door trim. My local Autoshield guy Pepi knocked it all out in under 2 hours for $250 bucks and warranties it.... heck I debated ahving him do the rest of the car in Matte silver....... still thinking about that actually..... but that negates the stealth look.

The rings I found on Fleabay.... and I painted the grille surrounds with Rustoleum stain and a clear coat.

Thanks Dave -

The tails are Euro's that I had my local shop spray 2 coats of tint ( nightshades I suspect) and clear-coat..... the only way to keep them from fading or peeling. I did three coats on my dark blue W12 but this seems about right in my opinion for the Avus.

Cheers

A tad too low in the pics from USP. The car is higher in your pics.

Damn those wheels look good when you drop the car. Dammit I want to lower mine.
