Hi all

Question for you , I had a small exhaust leak repaired on my RS6 on Sat. It turns out i have a Miltek cat back exhaust on the car. Im wondering if the preveous owner did any computer work to the car?

The other day i was driving around and being a bit aggressive, My traction light came on for the first time like i was loosing traction with 4 wheels ( it has never done that before ) I just had my timing belt/water pump/thermostat done.

I was playing with my cruise control?!

is there a way to deactivate MTM? or APR comp upgrades?

Thanks

Hanna

At what speeds did the light come on?

Torque converter

LOL

No its not the torque converter, what i was saying is that the car was running so strong i spun my wheels, im wondering if by playing with the cruise control switch i activated a performance map on the computer?

Trans has been checked and is fine.

You can check for an APR tune by turning the ignition to the ON position and holding in the Cruise Control stalk SET button. If the CEL starts flashing, you have an APR tune.

You can also Log Block 115 with Vag-Com and see what the max requested boost is. This will not indicate who the tuner is, but you can see if you have a tune.

What was the situation that the traction control light came on? How fast were you going?

I was going about 25 when i punched it turning onto an entrance ramp to the highway.

Are you sure there wasn't a family of baby ducks crossing the road or something that would break traction? Spinning 4 dry 255's at 25 mph requires massive torque.

Ok its not the TC.

I gotta go with the duck theory.

I have to agree. More than massive torque actually....

Have you accomplished this since running the viper tune?

I am an eye witness to this. Fun watching the smoke come out all four fenders. Jealousy guage broke however.

What about the unmeasurable pucker factor???

haha. Not too much pucker factor. It did go up that same day watching a Viper Venom 1000 break loose going into 3rd - got a little squirrely.
On an unrelated note, I am over 300 posts - congratulations to me!

Hey, I'm close. I think I'll celebrate by finally doing my brakes tomorrow :-)
And on a completely unrelated note, I'm getting remarried Thursday.

Can't imagine smoking all four. Aim your camera phone at it next time!!!

I know my car runs very strong based on 0-60 and 0-100 times, and the cars it pulls on in the real world.... but it's nowhere near smoking four wheels on dry pavement at any speed.
