I had my car at Audi awile back, and as they were looking the car over they found that I had a boost leak. One of my hoses had worked it way off a little bit, not all the way off, just a little break in the seal causing me not to be able to run as much boost. It seems this happens a lot to RS6's when they run full power. How do I fix this? Better hoses? Better clamps? Let me know guys please. I think mine has a leak AGAIN!! Not making the boost I did a few days ago. Oh, and is it hard or easy to get to these hoses and fix? Don't want to pay Audi everytime to fix this BS!! Thanks!!

I went with the Venair hoses.

Medium DIY job. Replace clamps with T-bolt clamps: 2x 2.5", 4x 2.75", and 6x 3.25". ( as per V8weight's install post: http://www.rs6.com/showthread.php/20852-Installed-Venair-hoses-and-stainless-t-bolt-clamps.?highlight=t+bolt+clamp :))
Got my clamps from here: http://www.votionspeed.com/servlet/the-T-dsh-Bolt-Clamps/Categories

Most, including myself, use Venair silicone hoses.

Just went through this. If you have a big leak, it will sound like you have a giant BOV on your car :lovl:

For me it was the lowers, which are very easy to get at: Put your car up on ramps, remove the screws in the lower splash guard (and the two 1/4 turn screws in the fender liners) and pop off splash guard. Remove and clean the hoses with lacquer thinner and make sure the hoses are properly seated (this is big, they are shaped and if turned 10 degrees in any direction they will pop off again) and torque hose clamps. They will hold if clean and properly seated.

UNLESS your car bottomed hard at some point and your intercooler outlet has a flat spot, as Yokust pointed out.

If it's the uppers, same procedure, but harder to get at.

I ordered venairs and t-clamps, but they're still sitting in the box, cause last time I did them I did it right and the stock parts stayed on... and my car peaks 19 psi and holds 15...

Just try cleaning them up better before throwing money at it. Those hoses and clamps are really great - I have venair hoses thanks to JRS-RS6. My old hoses held fine though. Take them off, clean them up with some laquer thinner and try again. If they pop off after, get the hoses and clamps.

FWIW - According to the butt dyno, Pat NEEDS those hoses and clamps to hold in that boost.
