Slow shifts?

Does anyone have an estimate on how long it takes a stock or TCU upgraded tranny to shift between gears? For example, if you have it in manual mode, click the paddle shifter, how long does it take the transmission to respond and shift? Is a 1 second delay from the time to click or manually shift till the time it shifts?

One second sounds about right. That's why I never use the paddles, the shifts are significantly slower than when in sport mode. Despite popular belief, I don't think a tcu chip does much to speed up the actual shift, though I did find that the shifts were a little firmer with my Viper tcu chip as opposed to the MTM.
