View Full Version : Has anyone done the LED Driving lights to the C5 like in the new Audis?

I have asked my shop to look for a way to add the led driving lights to the beast. Anybody know of a way or has done it in the past???? At a minimum will update the fogs to hid....

IIRC, someone photoshopped what you are thinking and an overwhelming opinion was it didn't look right...

In comparison, it is like adding the halo eyes from a late model BMW and adding it to a first generation 3 series BMW... doesn't work, doesn't fit...

I have seen a few pictures of a Sprint blue RS6 (Europe) with the LED lights where the stock fogs are. IMO, it doesn't look bad. My mechanic has them on his '02 S6 Avant which I have seen in person. He did a clean job of installing them, they look stock. If I recall, I think someone on here had found a kit to retrofit them to the RS6, but looks like it may block a bit if air getting to the ICs, which isn't good.

I've had a set of those driving lights for years:), new in the box:) I considered doing the mod but it involved removing headlight washer units, cutting a section out of the aluminum bumper reinforcement bar and cutting / modding bumper to install lights just above the IC air ducts. Had doubts about how it would look, so mod was shelved. There was a youtube vid a few years back of an RS4 with them installed(in the IC intake duct) and they looked wicked!

This guy did it in the IC ducts after fog delete. The only way it looks good, imho.

I like it, wouldn't mind getting rid of the fog lights anyway. And I am with lirs6 what kind of wheels are those, very nice. Anbody have anymore detail about this picture?

I think this guy's car is actually a 4.2 with RS6 bumpers... porsche exhaust tips look nice. He has enough sense not to falsely badge it as an RS6.

The wheels look like they might be Alutec. He does list an email address in his post if you're really curious.

rolling through that thread I see that the same guy did the same LED install on what I think is a 2.7t s-line with k04 hybrids

My shop has ordered the s6 leds and some hid bulbs for the fogs. Will post pics once it is done.

This is a pic of the newer OEM S6 style LEDs on an RS6. I have no clue where I got this picture, but I think it looks really good how this person did it. Nothing is wrong with the RS6 as is, but I like this look.

That's my problem with where it's mounted, takes up half the intake duct. This 6 also has the Cupra lip spoiler!

Is that because of the non-US front parking sensors that everyone states are non-functional (except for me as I drove one with the fronts operational) and that lower lip?
What about the eyebrows/eyelashs?

It almost looks like a Carbon hood?!?!

I think it's just a regular C5 A6, maybe a 4.2. I just sold mine a month ago due to a crapped out tranny :(

Which is why I am on the hunt for an RS6 (FINALLY!!!) But since I recently married and had a baby girl, I have to convince the wifey that it is a smart purchase. Will be looking for Avus/Ebony sometime this fall (hopefully that will help put pricing in my favor, I'm trying to stay well below 30K)

Its an A6 2.7tt. The owner is from Ottowa or something, and is a regular on Audizine.

The bumper scoops on the black one are a little smaller than a RS6 bumper, as well as the PDC plugs, that makes it a dead give away.

latest update my shop could not install the leds

Right now we are unable to install the LED's to our standards. We have some ideas but it may be best to pick up the car for now. The lights need to be trimmed and then sealed to prevent moisture. The metal end tanks of the radiator are in the way and cannot be moved.

The lights fit perfectly off the car!... Its your call.
