While searching for a boost gauge I came across this site (http://www.tpms.tw/product_OBD_E.htm), I did not see any 03 Audi's on the list but it might work and it's cool.

PLX Devices makes OLED gauges that can be custom skinned and also layed flat and mirrored for HUD mode. They also have a version that reads OBII data (but notably not boost on VAG cars)

I just installed one, with the boost sensor, last sunday... it's pretty slick. Having a boost gauge in a turbo car is a must IMO.

Will do... I created a custom RS6 skin to match stock gauges. The stock gauge face on the PLX gauge is poo, no antialiasing, blocky pixels, too few frames on the 0 to 15 psi option for smooth animation. Although the stock numeric readout is not bad... kind of fun watching a big red number scroll up to 15 in a hurry and easy to read at a glance, would work very well for HUD mode, I may try that mounting option as well.

Will get er done and do a thread at some point, at the moment the beast is back in the shop for maintenance.

I'm leaning towards this one (http://www.dashdaq.com/features/gauges.htm) as it is a complete unit

I thought about dashdaq... but for one, as far as I can figure, it doesn't read boost -- VAG cars don't give you boost through the OBDII port. Secondly, I thought it looked a little low-rent -- like a cheap strap-on GPS. (no offense)

I've been happy with the combo of the PLX devices Kiwi Wifi dongle -- it sends high-speed data to the Rev app for iphone or ipod touch, and a boost module to read boost. The boost modules can also output to an analog gauge. I just added the 2" PLX iMFD OLED gauge, as it's small and discreet and is hard-wired, so I'm not messing around with my iphone every time I get in the car and go and pretty invisible, so I don't have to worry about some crackhead on lower wacker drive smashing my window to grab it. PLX has an air-fuel ratio module as well, which I would definitely get if I were messing around with a custom tune (I'm not) because I would be paranoid of accidentally leaning out the big beast motor.

Either device, it's nice to have some real-time data for the 99% of the time (unless you're Pat, then the 30% of the time) when you're not hooking up the lappy with vag-com.

Doesn't everyone do this??

I met John for lunch and he started his RS6 up and I was listening for all the noises that MINE does at start up... NOT A PEEP!!! WTF...?!?

The dm-200 is very nice moreso after seeing this (http://www.google.com/imgres?imgurl=http://www.tricktuners.com/dm-200%2Bmgw%2520011%2520(Large).jpg&imgrefurl=http://www.moddedmustangs.com/forums/99-04/56249-plx-dm-200-obdii-gauge-review-custom-install-into-rearview-mirror.html&usg=__IBtREajfdbiEawpWUlkeewd-MP4=&h=768&w=1024&sz=35&hl=en&start=3&um=1&itbs=1&tbnid=N7hxAcIMSiXPkM:&tbnh=113&tbnw=150&prev=/images%3Fq%3Dplx%2Bdm-200%2Brear%2Bview%2Bmirror%26um%3D1%26hl%3Den%26sa %3DN%26tbs%3Disch:1) mirror install. I also saw a video with the PLX reading boost from the ECU with no mod or boost sender:
