So I got my VAG-COM cable tonight so I fired up the laptop and hooked her up.

Cleared the AIRBAG fault (driver's side) and reprogrammed the Central Locks to allow me to roll up/down the windows/sunroof via the keyfob and to lock when in drive/unlock when key out. (look here on how to do that: http://www.ross-tech.com/vag-com/cars/audiB5.html#35).

Ran a full scan after all that and got this, from the looks of it none of the locks should be working and possible smoking when ever I hit the lock/unlock switch... is this something I should worry about???:

SMOKING?!?!?

Like the driver's/passenger's side door panel(s) - the toggle switch or the actual actuator inside the door?
Is there noise associated with the smoke?
Meaning like crackling or a buzzing?

Short to GROUND.... sounds like you might have some exploring to do...

Car on or car off?

Does it do this if you return the setting to what you had before?

Lol. I think he was inferring that according to the codes received that the doors shouldn't be working and/or the switches should be smoking (open or short to plus)

SMOKING?!?!?

ROTFL!!! I was kidding... given the amount of faults I figured that would be the outcome. I'm going to clear the codes and see if the come up again. Most of these seem to have come up from me almost killing the battery (drained it to the point of not being able to turn over the engine). We'll see.

Cleared the faults with the lock system and all is ok... looks like it was related to the low battery issue.
