We had heavy rain the first day, light rain the first day. The vettes and porsches pretty much stayed on the side lines as the Audis circled the track. Quattro rocks!!

It was still an incredible fun time. John, Kris and crew put on a great event.

For those that require video evidence and we know who he is...LOL

Man, No matter what anyone else says about you, these are awesome video proof of ripping on the track!

Ben- You were the inspiration to take the vids as I knew you would be a askin- LOL.

Tires were PS2's and they really worked great considering I showed up with them kind of bare expecting a dry track. I ran them down to the thread and lower than planned.

To get home as there were no tires to be had on Sunday in Topeka- Lori and I rented a U-Haul truck and car hauler..We drove through heavy rain/thunderstorms, took a few wrong turns, heavy fog, and sleep deprivation to arrive home at about 3:00 a.m. I have a few pics of the U-haul w/ the car loaded and will post a pic later. It was too funny and we chalked it up to a good anniversary story.. ;0

As I sit here and wait for the vids to load....

You cant make this stuff up and great story Max. Lori is a trooper and some day I will tell ya about leaving my wife on the back side of a mtn bike race course in Reno, NV. It was 105 degrees and we were on our way to Tahoe and just stopped in to do this race. Well, she was the water bottle lady and made it to the back side of the course. Long story short...I was 3rd heading into the final lap when I pulled the plug. Altitude and heat told me to pack it in or risk getting sick for the rest of the vacation. Well, Linda waited on the back side till everyone finished and then made the hike back. I had some splaining to do. :-)

Ok, going to go watch the vids. There better be some butt kicking out there. Did you ever pass that black car in the first vid? Was it a BMW or something? "Watch out idjuits, my name is Max and I have bald tires!"

Mad Max for President!

Butt kicking second vid. I was screaming at the chevys to get out of the frigging way.

Nice correction 1/2 way thru where you over cooked it on the tight turns. The following lap was well done.

Bottom line Max rocks!

Now I want to race.

It was a M5 and yes passed it easily during next session. We got backed up against long line of traffic in the vid so I came into the pits to allow space. At TMS, I smoked a new M5, Targa, a GT-3 (driver issue I think), and several vettes routinely- so much so they started just getting out of the way. However; a Z06 that had been "tuned" smoked my doors. I didn't get any vids but it was great fun and the car surprised a lot of the other drivers that didn't have a clue about the RS6...;0

I certainly did and had to get off of it as I went way out...It is crazy, let your mind wander for a split second and the next thing you know the voices inside the head are going "WTF are you doing!!!!"....LOL

It was great fun and with some luck our paths will cross for some good fun!

Wow, great photo sequence of the pass! I thought I'd never track my RS6, but you're giving me the fever.

Wow, too much fun. So this is what I could be doing if I ever put the wrenches down and actually drove the car? On an unrelated note, I never realized what a behemoth the GTR is. It almost dwarfs the beast, which isn't an easy thing to do.

I say do it! It is a hoot to blast the 4 door down the track and around some of the unsuspecting...;0

I'll tell my better 1/2 you appreciate her picture taking. She put in a grade A effort to get some pics. I owe her big time putting up with my indulgences...

Lori is awesome. Waaaay too cute for Max. Did she return the blanket to the hotel? (It was damp and cool all weekend, but she kept on smiling.) You two are peas in a pod!

We enjoyed seeing you again as well Jim! I look forward to the next time.

Yeah- we gave up the blanket as hard as it was to release that fine piece of linen. However; it provided some warmth in the garage and she was glad to have it. I wish I had taken a picture of her wrapped up in it. Would have gone well with the Uhaul pic...;0
