View Full Version : Tire question, can you run 275's on the stock 18in rims?

Just curious, weather is getting nice ( hopefully no more snow here!) so I need some new rubber. I've been wanting to go up to 275's for some time, and was planning on getting rims to go with, but I'm trying to keep costs down.

275's too wide, or will they work?

Thanks!

They'll fit, but on an 8.5" rim they'll look kind of bulbous. You will need to run a 5-10mm spacer to clear the suspension upright as well. Why after switching to the lightweight rotors would you want to add extra un-sprung weight to your car with larger tires?

I want the extra traction, I hate it when the esp kicks in on corners.

Also, the weight of the tire is 2lbs less then the current ones I have ;)
