I see a trend.

With the increase in Fidelity prices. Our extended warranties are worth 6-7-8 thousand dollars. If you have a low mileage car with plenty of warranty. The sky is the limit.

What else can you buy with this much grunt.

46k Avus RS6 with 100k Fidelity. $38,900

Hot dog, I need to put another coat of MopnGlow on the suspension

Hmmm...so which warranty do I go with? I can attest to the prices going up. 7,700 was my quote for the 4/48k with 68k miles. However it seems like fidelity might give me trouble with the PSS9 set up, right Dave? Any ideas for another company anyone?

My warranty is through Zurich. Definitely worth looking into.

My Zurich quote was 3300 for 2yr/24k. Said he wont go past 2 years because of the age of the car...not the miles. Any other companies out there that are worth a darn that might give a 3 or 4 year? I'd settle for 3...2 doesn't really cut it because I'll be gone for half of it with the car parked. Kind of a waste. On the other hand for the 7700 that zurich wants...I could just about put a lift in the garage...hmmmmm *rubs hands together*

ANY extended warranty will " give you trouble " when you add or modify OEM bits on your car. The difference is how your repair shop handles it.

Protective has proven 100% for me both personally as well as for my clients ( I work with higher end European cars ) depending on your mileage, you would either get the " Supreme " equal to or better than Fidelity's highest level contract, higher mileages would get " Deluxe " coverage.. which is pretty much equal to Fidelity Gold + .. but for less $$ when compared apples to apples.

Anyways, LMK if I can help!

Steve

Examples:

2003 Rs6 63,200 miles, Deluxe coverage ( due to miles ) w/ $100 dedutible :

12/12 $2980
24/24 $3836
36/36 $5095

Hmm...well how would protective compare to a company like zurich? I have 68k on my RS6 so would these numbers be similar? If so the prices are almost the same between the two companies. Which coverages/plan would you recommend for a car with that amount of miles? My thoughts are...the longer the plan...the longer I will probably enjoy my RS6 :D
