When you’ve had a long week and you’re feeling a little groggy (not through alcohol consumption, mind!), it’s always nice to clap your eyes on something aesthetically pleasing. So we were pleased to stumble across the Audi RS7 – a concept car that it's claimed will represent the look of the Audis of the future. And if this really is the shape of things to come from the German marque, we’ll have one way ticket to 2020, thank you very much!

Created by talented Austrian designer Adriano Mudri, there isn’t any information available about the RS7’s performance stats, but noticeable differences from current Audis include the gargantuan air vents at the front, the presence of minimalist LED headlamps and an engine cover that is shaped like the actual engine. Oh yeah, and don't forget those Lamborghini Countach-esque scissor doors...

All in all, the RS7 looks bloody marvellous – the future really can’t come along fast enough, as far as we’re concerned.

To see Mudri’s vision of the future for Audi cars, check out the Audi RS7 gallery below

Surely any proposed 'RS7' would be based on the upcoming A7? :vhmmm:

True, but R8 and A8 don't have much in common, do they? :)
