So i just sold my 01 911 tt. Ended up getting 40k for a 63,000 mile car. i also delivered it to the owner 300 miles away and sent her off with a fast drive. I also returned the extra warranty for 2300 and got 500 cash for driving it to SLC. The dealers offered me 30-31. greedy idiots!!

I must say the average person looking to buy one of these 911 tt's is rather uptight. never spoke with so many a-holes in my life trying to sell it. That is until Vince saw the car and how pure it was.

So my RS6 just turned 75k and the water pump went. got it taken care of on the extended warranty and paid 400 for the t-belt and pulleys. Also did the plugs for 350 and changed the oil.

So the warranty runs through january 2011 and 85000miles so i will run her this spring, summer, and fall. Then if i can make some coin this year get a 04 or 05 low milage tt

I also bought a used A4 with 70k for 4000. nice car with the sport package and mint condition inside and out. The 2.8 is a dog at 6000 feet but for 4k I can run it a few winters (December- march)

I drove the RS6 a few times the last few weeks and decided to keep it. it really is a one of a kind car. I shopped fidelity warrantys with my milage gold is the best plan and a 3/36 will run 3400. I might go that route and keep it 3 more years. I only owe 21k on it.

it was painfull to see the turbo go bye bye but there are always more in the future.

I was in the market for one of those 911tt's a few years ago. I wonder if I was one of the "jerks"?? j/k

Then I drove the beast. Never looked back.

Glad everything worked out. What were the symptoms of the waterpump going bad?

I'm hoping to keep my turbo and still buy the RS6. With everyone giving their turbos away for $40k, looks like I'll keep mine...

Dhall,

There was a little trickle of coolant coming from the pump area.

It looks like fidelity came through.

They covered cv joint, valve cover seals(20 hours of labor), water pump, cam seals I did the plugs, belt, pullies, oil change.

Out of pocket 894.00 for a 5200 bill. Fidelity warranty priceless

Sounds about right for car with your mileage. Thanks for filling in the blanks. Fidelity is nice to have and the dealer staff are happy to see any RS6 pull in with Fidelity. $$$$$

Since I'm keeping my RS6 forever I just bought a (very familiar to me as I had the exact car for 5 years till 5 years ago) Neiman Marcus Edition 2000 Audi TT w 54K miles for $8K to keep miles off my RS6, save gas, and repair costs (compared to an RS anyway).

Too funny - you bought a nice car for the price of your typical service visit! :jlol:

If I see you on the road I'll race you in my circa 2000 1.8t. Yeah, it's a bug, but with the mods I've done over the years, it's about as quick as my RS6... but a WHOLE lot harder to drive. (300hp through the front wheels...)

Exactly!!! That's how i reasoned it with my fiance anyway. And certainly a back-up if something big does break in my brave new world of no warranty. In a few months (after the wedding so I don't get killed) I'll get the Revo programming back in and a few other things to give it a little more grunt (1.8T FWD too), and 18" 9 spoke wheels (like the stock RS6 wheels) on this one too.

The little ones are so easy to upgrade... careful you don't get addicted! What I've done to "battle_bug" (I bought this car new in 2000, now has 60k miles)

k04-15 turbo
Techtonics downpipe
Techtonics stainless exhaust
Forge turbo inlet pipe
K&N drop-in filter
TT225 Diverter valve
N75 J-valve
GIAC k04 program
H&R coils & struts
18x8 BBS RC (custom gunmetal powder coat)
Pirelli P-Zero
Hawk pads
Stainless brake lines
+ a bunch of cosmetic stuff to smooth and simplify the exterior

All makes for a fun, cheap, hilarious car to catch "muscle" cars off-guard in :harass:

0-60 in 4.5, quarter in 12's, but still gets near 30 mpg if I keep my foot out of it.
