The little 6 fell off my RS6 emblem in the front grill.
What's the best glue to use??

Try gorilla glue. I've used it for a lot of projects and the stuff works well. There are a couple varieties so you will want to choose the one for the plastic.

Why not get the original retaining clip from the dealers?

The 6 fell off the emblem, not the entire emblem. I'll try gorrilla glue.

used Gorilla Glue...done....we will see if it holds up to washing car..and time...
