Hi, need a spark plug change, but I have not done this one myself on this car.

I really have not even looked to see if it's a PITA or not.

Are all 8 accessible EASILY?

Air filter no big deal, done that.

?Fuel Filter? Is that easily accessible? or PITA?

Trying to avoid trip to dealer.

I actually posted one about a month ago. Here you go!

Pretty easy to do, just make sure you have the right tools, nothing fancy.

Let me know if you have any questions!

Nice Photos. Thanks.

I have had the air box off, when I fixed a hose ripped by the technician when he replaced the temperature sensor on the back of the engine.

The MAF wire on the drivers side is a PITA for sure. You need little hands, which I do not have LOL. I think that is when he wacked the hose, but getting it snagged while trying to remove that wire! The passenger side is easy enough to get to.

I did not take a good enough look to see what had to be removed to get at the power packs, but had a vague recollection that it did require moving stuff. You're photo's make it quite clear.

Thank you very much.

PS was that your kitchen counter you had the air box sitting on or nice cabinets in the garage??

Welcome! Hopefully it will make the job easier.

And yes, that was my kitchen counter, air box was sitting on the range, fridge and oven can be partly seen in back. Wouldn't be a bad idea to have an auxiliary kitchen in the garage though. Wouldn't have to tread into the house all greased up when looking for a bite :)

Same thing happened to my vacuum lines a while back, made the switch to silicone on everything. Much easier to install as well as longer lasting!

If you're doing the fuel filter could you do the favor of taking step by step pics and making a guide for the change? I was trying to figure out how to do this a few weeks back and could use guide! Thanks!

Yes, just need to look at the bentley for the fuel filter. Did you run the tank dry first? (less gas spillage I gues). Where is the filter located?

Those above taken with my iphone...

The ones on the Rotor post are from Canon 10D.

Thanks,

Mike

Jack up the rear end. Crawl under the RR wheel and look up. Its on top of the fuel pump. Grab an extra set of screw clamps in the case you ruin the factory pinch clamps.

No need to drain the fuel.

I would suggest changing the pinch clamps to screw clamps anyway. You are only going to loss a little fuel in the lines and the filter, not from the tank. The fuel pump will not pump unless the ignition is on and it should not be on.

EXCELLENT write up!

This, and some other writes, need to be under a DIY/RS6 folder or something sticky!

Just to add my bit of advice, I reached up and clamped a hemostat on the inlet side of the filter, only spilled a minimal amount of gas on Dave's floor as a result. I more than made up for that in antifreeze though.

Ya, you were too busy cleaning the floor under your car for pics to do any actual work:lovl:
In all seriousness, the only spot under Dave's car was actually from me coming over and moving his lower radiator hose. I'm a total pigpen, when we were done with the cars, Dave could have walked into a wedding without raising an eyebrow, I however was covered in grease, coolant, and grime from head to toe.
