I helped this company out Evolution Imports that make some awesome things.. They are currently taking measurements on my A6 and going to start producing them for the A6. They are starting to get them for the S6/RS6 also.

High Grade Aluminum Skid Plates - Coming soon for A6/S6/RS6 1999-04 C5 models including all available drivetrains and engines (FWD and Quattro)-(2.7t/2.8/3.0/4.2/4.2TT)

The skidplates protect exceptionally better than OEM plastic skid plates and also features:

- Lightweight design
- Air ducts that cool oil pan and transmission pan
- Protects oil and transmission pan
- Ideal for lowered models but recommended for everyone.

Owner and designer are willing to have group buy discounts, so if you are interested please PM me and I'll get back to you with information. Thanks

Finally someone is addressing this part, with something that looks promising. It would be nice to have a "Engine Noise Insulation Plate" here in VA that can take the beating beater. I think the VDOT fired everybody cause they sure don't keep these our roads maintained. OMG I feel a rant/ jack coming on. Keep us in the loop on the RS6 plate.

Does your source know that the RS6 insulator differs from the regular A6 4.2? There's quite a few vents and areas of clearance specific to the RS6 shield.
