Just for fun, put the car on the dyno this weekend along with SAF's. There may or may not have been some ECU tinkering before hand.

Just sit tight little jedi warriors. Expect to see 55 wheel hp increase between 3500-4500rpm. 80ft/lbs torque over that same range. Again, at the wheels.

Scott is working on the post details and graphs. My ECU is getting done this week. (that should tell you something)

This is the best price ECU reflash on the market. The features are good and the results look promising. Will report more soon.

Duck-foot-rat out.

So far so good. A third car is about to be done, and I'm sure they'll be as happy as I am!

Do yalll think you can feel that torque difference between 3000 and 5000 rpm?

Notice that peak power only went up about 20HP at the flywheel (assuming 23% loss), but the HP gain at roughly 4000rpm is 55hp, since at that point torque is up over 100ft-lbs at the flywheel.

Requested boost max is 2040mb, actual got up to 2160mb. MAF was at or above 420g/sec at the same rpm the dyno HP peaked, which using the rule of thumb someone (Shoppinit??) found on Ross-Tech's website (multiply power by 0.8 to estimate MAF) puts the HP more like in the 520-525 range . Not sure why there is such a disparity between that number and the dyno (465hp). Who cares, runs like stink.

Since I'm really not trying to get maximum top speed out of the car, I'm extremely happy to let it be a tractor in the mid-range. The roll-on torque feels sportbike-like. Can definitely hear the turbos singing now.

We didn't do anything beforehand, they just puttered from a stop in tip mode, shifted up into 3rd and at about 2000rpm they nailed it.

Secret Services is just the shop with the dyno we used. (they're hosting an AWD open house dyno day BTW - with BBQ - on Feb 20th. Nice bunch of guys.)

I'll post the tuner's link and contact info shortly. I want to be sure everything is up to date first.

Has anyone done a tweaking on their TCU? If so, what and by whom?

I'm glad to hear you are happy with it Dave. I am going through the same giddy "just taking it out for a spin" reaction myself.

Here is a link to Eurocharged Performance (http://www.eurocharged.com/index.php?page=shop.product_details&flypage=flypage_new.tpl&product_id=157&category_id=33&option=com_virtuemart&Itemid=99), the folks that RS6-4dr911, DHall1 and myself purchased our tune from. I have nothing but good things to say about the service that Jerry gave me.

Eurocharged Performance was recommended to me by a friend and neighbor that recently had them tune his MB S65 AMG. He was very happy with their service and the results, and his satisfaction led me to contact them about tuning the RS6. Now we have three cars on this forum with the tune and we love it.

How good a deal do you need? 599 is the best price for a full function reflash on the market. Some have paid 2500 for the reflash and or chip.

Group buy for 500? What do you think?

Personally, I never saw the need to "change" the car. If I want it tuned I want it tuned.

Also, I am quite happy with this Eurocharged tune and am even happier that finally someone has decided to offer this service for a reasonable amount of money! The $$ some of the "old school" tuners have been stealing from RS6 owners is ludicrous. It's time to give support to the little guy who offers personal service and doesn't see us as a bottomless wallet.

Hi Steve,

My opinion is to sign these guys up. Local to you and they can custom tune and hold events. Can Revo do that?

My other car is a E55 so guess what is next for Eurocharged.

The Audi tune is fantastic.

And oh the girls. Helllllloooo

Edited my post, this is the direction we are headed.

I should have said that Eurocharged is holding the AMG Tuning day at Autoscope ... LoL

I may purchase an extra ECU for the Rs6 to see for myself what they can do!

I am happy with the REVO tune. I switch between programs depending on 1. Fuel Type 2. Road Conditions 3. Track Conditions , so for me, the switching is needed.

I think it is great that some of you have found an economical answer that meets your needs.

However; I do like being able to change the APR tune between (stock, 91 gas, 93 gas, and race gas) modes from the cruise stalk. I can change it on the fly (this can come in handy when I spot a target of opportunity on the road) at a whim. The reasons I find to change-

1) I can't always find higher octane gas. Therefore; it is nice to be able to switch it to stock or one of the lower octane ratings. It is also kind of fun to see how it ran back in the "stock days". I'll also leave it in stock mode a lot of times just to "baby" the motor.

2) I always switch it and "lock it" to stock when I take it to be serviced.

3) It does have throttle body adjustment and anti-theft lock out. I sometimes use the anti-theft lockout when I am gone from the house as the key is normally in the house(yes I could just hide or lock up the spare keys but I would probably forget where I put them). Keeps my "house keepers" from taking it on a spin. My parents wish they had this feature in my teen age days when I was left at the house on occasion. ;0 I have never used the throttle body adjustment

4) I can switch to the race gas mode when I occassionally take it to the track. It really adds a kick to the power and is very noticeable.

5) I take some comfort in the fact APR has a long list of proven happy customers, and have been in the business for an extended time. The tune had been out for several years before I made the plunge. After being at their main shop in Opelika, I could not have met a nicer bunch of folks that took personal interest in me. They introduced me to some of the engineers and allowed me to look over their shoulder at some of the programs, explained some of what they do as it really interested me as I do some programming. It was a great experience. Lori and I appreciated their hospitality.

With all that said, it is great that there are choices out there and everyone can select the one that fits their own personal budgets, needs, and wants.

Ok Ok... my head is spinning with all of this new exciting tuning information. Maybe it's too early, but can anyone help actually put some more data to this story? Here's what we have so far...

OEM: Torque = 413 HP = 450
MTM Stage 1: Torque = 509 HP = 500
MTM Stage 2: Torque = ??? HP = 545 (Requires bosch pump and regulator... about $300 plus install for parts)
Euro: Torque = 518? 465? HP = 465? 521? "500-525"? (Requires no other parts/mods?)
ViperBL: ???

I LOVE the added competition here and the Eurotune looks pretty hard to beat for the price when compared to stock. The bigger question is whether I should reflash OVER an existing tune with the Eurotune or not. I'm thinking of upgrading from MTM1 to MTM2, but that's easily $1k. Depending on where the Eurotune data shakes out (and whether other mods are required or not), that might be the way to go instead.
