More than a nice, but I just can't understand WHY BMW call it 40d, or 35d before that...? 3.0sd was just right...

marketing reason...40d is the top diesel engine...no confusion with "simply" 3.0d vs 3.0 sd... ;)

am afraid, also, that you are wrong! there is nothing better looking than Q7... beautiful, clean lines, perfect proportions, side profile, no messy baroque details, strong muscular presence...

ONLY when we talk about Q7 V12 TDI or maybe others with complete S-line package all a round... And take a look at the price tag of that!
If you compare ''ordinary'' Q7 with ordinary X5... Things are more than clear!
Base Q7 looks like mini van... IMHO, that is!

If you have a wife and two children - you will love this "van".
BTW - after the FL the "ordinary" Q7 look not bad as well.
But i'm with you on the sline theme ;)

After FL Q7 is better than before, but X5 is still looking more effective, to me... Third row of seats is advantage for Q7, but for me it doesn't have any function... :)

looks more like the first generation. Works for me. Might get the call over the Q when the day comes. I didn't like the current interior in the X5 so this is a bit better.
