After reading GEN XER's post regarding PLATINUM denying his claims I'm not too sure what to purchase.

Any suggestions?

Which plan did you guys buy?

And yes, the 6/60 plan did go up to about $15k.

At 15k....I would not purchase the Fidelity.

I would put the 15k to work....its dividend season. Go pick up 2000 shares of SB or PDLI and keep rolling over the covered call. 5yrs you will have about 30k to mod the thing.

No way would I pay Fideliity 15k. I can fix whatever goes wrong with the car for less than that.....well, Pat and I can fix anything.

LOL!! They see you coming with those IC's Dave. They also need to make back some of that tranny money they have been shelling out. No more Fidelity for me either.

Not knowing your mileage situation, it's tough to comment. But fwiw at 79k I just bought Fidelity powertrain 4yrs/48k for $3k. My options were limited, figured I'd make sure I at least had the tranny/intercoolers and such covered.

I'm at 43K. The tranny was replaced at 39K. I don't think the TC was replaced with the tranny. The TC wasn't on the invoice. Unless the tranny and TC comes together. No other major parts replaced.

Holy crap!

I guess the claims have caught up with the beast.

I paid 3200 for my 6/72

Funny thing I will never get there with the mileage. I have 31k and counting.

Ouch, ouch on those prices

You can say that again! At those prices...I'm not so sure I want Fidelity at all.

www.prizm.com which really is a company named protective

Depends on the current mileage and duration.
I took Dave's advice and looked for the lowest mileage example, except the one in Eureka (18,000 miles at $40k).
The one I got had 36k on the clock and the threshold levels were:
0-40k
40,001 to 80k
80,001 - infinity

Then levels of supreme, gold, silver, bronze, drive line.
There was a surcharge for AWD and/or Turbocharged = $300

I got 3yr/36k = $2800+300 = happy me..
