95k is coming up soon and you all know what that means.... or if you don't it means plugs need to be replaced!

Just curious if anyone is using anything or recommends anything other then the stock plugs.

Thanks

Not sure but I know most turbo guys go for "colder" than stock.

How often do you guys replace your plugs as a matter of interest?

I tried the Denso Iridiums but I think next time I'd just go with stock. NGK actually claims a longer life on their website than Nippon Denso does.

Mine have been changed every 2 years or 7,500 miles. I don't know that they needed to be, but they definitely look like they've been used when they come out. I definitely over do it, but it makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside. :incar:

7,500 miles?

Or 2 years. Or every other oil change. Like I said, I over-maintain, but it makes me feel better. :)

If you have a modified turbo car, 5-7k miles is about it for plugs. Especially if you are running a much higher than normal boost level. I use NGK in my 996tt and change about every 5k, even if it seems to be running good. Cheap insurance.

you should be running at LEAST 1 step colder plug for anything over stock.

tried to purchase 1 step colder plugs, but that's all they had.

i logged it on vagcom and have my timing set at 2.
no issues.

on my next plug change, i'm going to special order the 1 step denso platinum tt plugs...
