Of course the above- was right after I backed out of the garage.

Then, after it was outside for a few

Good call, didn't really pay attention. It won't snow in those temps, something to do with the air being too dry - not a meteorologist. It should still show the snowflake though. Maybe there is a range. Audi must figure, if you don't know that the road could be icy in those temps, your an idiot.

If I remember correctly the snowflake disappears at temps under 20f

If I remember correctly the snowflake disappears at temps under 20fSnowflake is for temperatures around freezing. It's intended as a warning so you are alert to possbile things such as frost or black ice. Ice is more slippery around the freeze/thaw point than when it's colder which is why the symbol disappears as the temperature drops.

I don't have a photo that I can post, but I had -38F in mid December......

That makes sense I noticed that mine had disappeared just before I left -- haven't seen any snowflakes since either. I think when I pull out of the garage a short time later it shows up and quickly dissapears once I start driving.

I thought that icon (in lieu of snowflake) showed up upon entrance into the gates of h3ll...Maybe it was past the range as the snowflake issue..LOL
