Warranty feedback request

2003 78k miles with Pure Platinum which expiring 1/1/10. Audi dealer advises that due to the miles on the car (>75k) the only available Fidelity warranties are "Gold" for 2/24k (quoted $3800) or "Silver" for 3/36k (quoted $3200) or "Powertrain" for 4/48k (quoted $3400).

TC and O2 sensors replaced at 49k.
Thermostat replaced.
EGT sensors replaced y'day (phew!).

Any thoughts/suggestions as to most practical option among the offered warranties would be appreciated.

Too bad you didnt update sooner and trade in your existing plan.

That said, call around for different dealer quotes. Try the McDonald Audi and Chandler Audi dealers for prices. Willie used a dealer in VA that had good prices.

As for gold silver and powertrain. If the goal is to cover the car for the longest period...then if the turbos are covered in the powertrain....go for that. The sensors will not be covered but that 4yrs looks really good to have the engine/trans covered.

Or you could always do as Bruce did. Sell yours and find a low mile car 30k. Then you can buy the 6/72 Platinum for 3300 or so.

Went with 4 yr/48k powertrain warranty. Turbos are covered. $3k.

Now...do I install Bluetooth ... hmmm
