Barring any unforseen issues, I'll be flying to St. Louis Sat. morning to pick up this CPO B6 :s4Addict:

I wish it was an :rs6kiss:, but practicality won out and I had to "settle" for an S4.

Will post pics soon. Some additional info...

2005
Certified Pre-owned
Dolphin Gray metallic
black leather
carbon fiber trim
6MT
48,700 miles

Since I have 2yr/50K miles on the CPO warranty, I'll wait about 18 months and then buy the Platinum Audi Pure Protection warranty for the longest term possible.

If it performs as well as the one I test drove last month, it's going to be grins all the way home to SE WI from St. Louis on Saturday. Then I'll be getting a set of Dunlop SP Winter Sport 3D's. Does anyone know if the 17" BBS RC's from my 94 S4 will mount to this 2005? If so, I won't have to buy winter wheels.

2 S4's in the garage now, my current 1994 with 174K miles and now the 2005. The drive from St. Louis to the Milwaukee area wasn't bad. Ran into some snow squalls/flurries at times. The roads were decent, but came upon a series of off road excursions/crashes in a one mile stretch in southern Illinois that involved about a dozen cars that delayed us about a half hour. The car handled well for being on summer tires, but I didn't push it. The V8 is pretty awesome, with thrust even in 6th. So far, I'm impressed. I'll be driving the '94 mostly through the winter to save some miles on the '05, but I'll take it out on dry weekend days. I've got to get some winter Dunlops on order.

Tom,

I like your signature line. If this keeps up you will see more and more people taking the Galts Gultch route. Real Americans will not let this continue.

That said, sorry you didnt go with the RS6 but this car looks very nice. Enjoy.

Here is a snap shot of my 88 GT4 Celica. The one that started the WRC attack by Toyota. I have modded it over the years to over 350hp and still ticks like the day I got her.
