This was posted in our local community forum. The car is an Audi R8, crashed and located in Athens, Greece. Either they were speeding or fall asleep, no idea really. Both passengers survived, but the driver lost his legs.

I'm not really too found of crash pictures. Or at least I'd like to have a choice if I'd like to see or not.

Please tell me if you want to see it removed.

UGG some blood in the 2nd pic. From the looks of it, the driver is lucky. That guard rail looks like it would have went right through him.

I believe this picture serves to remind us,
There are many laws you can break, the laws of physic's is not one of them.

Absolutely....
Many people don't like to be reminded of what could happen when we push the limits...

How the hell could that thing push through the whole car? That looks very strange for me. Thank God the people survived!

lucky it went between them. could half cut one of them in half by impaling them.

the more grisly the better. serves to remind all of us to never let our passions get the better of our judgment when driving our cars.

damn. this is a very creepy crash. i dont like rail guards...its the same like if you are on a motorcycle. It only has disadvantages. here in austria we also have a big amount of autobahnen with a big "wall" between the lanes. kinda more safe. cant cut a motorcyclist into two pieces and a car also can be cut like on the pictures above

they can keep you on the road instead of down a mountain too.

WOW. That's amazing. I can see now the drive lost a leg!

Must have been moving at a very fast speed.

I wonder what would have happened if that guardrail was welded to each post and did not break loose? I bet the outcome would have been worse (sudden stop).

Another Audi and guardrails, this time it's a Q7 in Romania.

Losing a leg is horrible but he might have a quasi normal life and that is quite a good outcome for such a gruesome accident.

Absolutely, agreed. I have done some stupid things behind the wheel... these are the type of pics that remind me I am NOT Superman despite what I may believe.

And I am very glad the driver lived, but am sorry for his very real loss...

I appreciate the reality check, even if it's not entirely necessary
