Thank goodness I live 2.5hours south and where Chinooks happen many times over the winter months. That said, I haven't had the beast plugged in and it's managed to start okay through this latest cold spell where just yesterday it was -30C + (for the US contingent, -40F and -40C are the same).

Not quite the coldest on record though...

Plugged in?? Do you have a block heater? Stock or aftermarket? I am interested in getting one if possible. I am in north central mn, not as cold as you but today the temp is not supposed to get above 0'F, with -25 F wind chill. When I go to the office it is parked outside and I have electricity out there and would love to he able to keep the coolant/oil warm.

Calgary Alberta yes. Get a load of this though. Difference in temperature in the past 24 hours has been 34C (over 90F). Last night when I hit the sack it was -32C (-40C with the windchill). This afternoon driving home from work it was +2C (35F). And people wonder why Calgarians have migranes all the time. Huge barometric pressure differentials.
