View Full Version : Finally Got my RS6

First impressions:

1) Feels powerful but not as quick as my e92 m3 but that could just be me.
2) Solid feel, well balanced.
3) Seats are comfortable
4) gas mileage is aweful - my lead foot averaged 6 MPG on a 5 mile trip.

Condition of the car for an 03 w/55k is probabaly an 8/10. wheels are aweful - looks like a monkey was trying to parallel park. Every single wheel is a mess. I will replace or have fixed soon, there is no way I can drive a car looking like this. I will have it to a 9.5/10 by the time I am done.

Anyone know how to open the hood? - the latch doesnt want to pop through the grill as it appears it should.

Hopefully the car holds up mechanically. Next segment should have impressions with upgrades if i could only make up my mind.... APR, GIAC, OCT, H&R, KW's, etc.

Enjoy the car.

I vote for Fidelity ext warranty and Revo flash with select plus.

Many times the little plastic tabs on the back side of the grill that direct the hood latch forward through the grill break off. When you pull the lever in the car, you have to carefully direct the latch with a small screwdriver so that you can release the hood completely. The release is supposed to pop direclty forward through the grill, and you just pull straight to release. Likely you will need a new front grill.

Happend to mine. Easy fix, but a pain in the meantime.

I will give it a shot when i get home - thanks for the note.

DHALL - where can I research the Revo flash? Thanks.

Good results from several members.

Reflash only and you can switch back to stock and or trim out the timing, boost and fuel mapping.

We have a member that is a distributor in TX. I have no $$ ties. PM "safe4now" Steve

Awesome, thank you very much. Seems like a better deal than the $2800 GIAC and APR want.

Sorry, I must have missed which one you, RS6VA, picked up?

RS6-4dr911, Ima gonna leave that one alone as I thinking of posting something possible "ban" - able material about "checking the tranny" something along those lines but, decided not too or at least only partially to allow some recovery on your part. :)

It was sold by Audi of Schaumburg.

I know not of which you speak. The seats, man, the seats! Can't you see those black Recaros in there? And the custom leather wrapped wheel? The pioneer head unit, etc. Get your mind out of the gutter. (cuz its crowded down here)

for $250 each and 20% off all orders from Stratmosphere. I may order by the weekend. Either these or R8 replicas, just need to confirm offset.

My understanding is that the RS6 requires an offset from .35 to .42, I am sure somoene can validate.

I've looked at those wheels, not bad for the money and look good! However in an 18 they dont make them in the right size.

I really like the looks of those wheels. I wonder if they'll ever be available in a useful offset?

They should work with a 10mm spacer and longer wheel bolts. You would have to find out if the wheels take. Tapered seat (most common on aftermarket wheels) or bulb seat (factory Audi/VW and a few aftermarket).

Stock on stock there really isnt much in it, but with my APR Stage 1 program on, the RS6 leaves a M3 E92 for dead (exhaust & intake). I can confirm this claim as I have a few E92 M3s in my car club.

Ah you're the one who bought the one from Schaumburg Audi. I called them to make an offer the same day you bought it apparently. It all worked out in the end as I bought the one from TexasRS6 with the revo select plus and APR exhaust. It's supposed to arrive today! I couldn't sleep at all last night like a kid on christmas eve.

The one I bought is bone stock which has it's pro's and con's. Body and paint are in great shape, interior needs a little love, the wheels are aweful but all in all it seems to be a good buy especially for the $$.

Enjoy the day!

Yea no kidding, I'm checking my cell phone every 30 seconds to see if I missed the driver calling. It's going to be a long day with this level of anticipation and no sleep.

RS6VA, Congrats on the car, it looked like a great deal!

Hi 80008,

have you a 1/4 mile time for your RS6 with its APR upgrade?

regards,
john

Just checking back in with this forum it has been awhile since I checked. I sold my RS6 and since then I have had a few cars; Ferrari 360, 993, BMW's but nothing close to the power and torque of my eurocharged rs6. Any of the guys around since 2009-10
