C5 RS6 MTM Stage 1 for non USA car?

My car is not in USA so is ROW spec and runs on 98 octane gas.

A stage 1 ECU+TCU upgrade from MTM USA is about half the cost of getting it done by a MTM dealer in Europe so I am wondering if the MTM reflash is specific to USA cars or can it be used on any C5 RS6 as the saving would easily cover shipping to and from USA.

Any thoughts or has anyone shipped their ECU/TCU from overseas to MTM in USA to get it done?

well, grizz was apprehensive about putting Custom Code onto US spec RS6s for the opposite of the fuel issue (i.e. code calling for fuel that's "higher rated" than US spec) but I don't think the reverse would be an issue...

I'd just contact the tuner you have in mind and ask!
