Should I be concerned that the BCD red pads have a big square relief area where the piston makes contact. Will this tend to "tilt" the piston causing it to "bind" under heavy braking?

You mean EBC Red?

Did you see my EBC Red install thread?

Make sure you dremel out the "U" groove in the backing plates of the EBC pads.

NO other problem has been noted.

Right EBC Red.

Your install thread has been a real life saver. I found a 1/2" diameter cutter that I used to port aluminum heads in a past life. It works perfect for cleaning up the slots. Even though I have access to Milling machines, it only took about 10 minutes using this burr in a hand held drill. 1/2" seems to be the perfect slot width.

I questioned the piston to pad contact because it just doesn't look right only making contact on one side of the piston. Apparently it's not caused any problems in the past.

Thanks Frank
