20"x8.5 +38 offset

Will this offset fit my RS6 properly and fill the guards without having to use spacers? Ive posted a pic of the wheels in question. They are currently on a TTS. Do you guys think they will look good on an Avus Silver RS6 Sedan (providing they fit with no issues)?

IMO, this wheel is too narrow. Even with spacers pushing them out to flush with the fenders, they will look odd. For a short time I had 20 x 8.5 and 20 x 9.5, and went back to 18's due to the harsh ride and poor handing characteristics ot the 20s (and the goofy tall/skinny look of my front wheels). MUCH happier now.
You could find some 20 x 9.5 for the front and rear, but you'd have to get that offset just right, and possibly shave the fender liners a bit like I did to keep from rubbing in the front. But I'd go with 19s

Surferdude, why would they be too narrow. My factory 19" wheels are 19x8.5, so why would it be too narrow? Ill only be going up 1 inch in diameter, and width will be the same.
With these +38 offset rims, what mill spacers would I need roughly? More than 20mm? If its 20mm or under then I think I would consider it. If I have to run more than 20mm spacers I dont think it would be a good idea. What are your thoughts on this?

Well, first of all it's just my opinion. But I had a 20" setup on my car (as you can see in my photo), and it was not a fun ride. And the rears looked fine with 285s, but the fronts were 20x8.5 with 245s, and they looked tall and skinny, not a good look for this car. Do they make the wheel you are looking at any wider? I'm sure they make it for Mercedes, which is the same bolt pattern. That's how I got mine in a wider width for the rears.
I'm not a fan of wheels with rivets, but that's just me. Good luck with your wheel setup!

Don't think you'll need spacers. I also thought the factory width was 8.5 with a 35mm offset, so maybe a 3mm spacer to get you to OEM width if you wanted, maybe a few mm more. Doubt you would really notice 3mm, though. Depends on the individual wheel, but I think the brakes will clear just fine. Plus, I'm not a fan of spacers if you can avoid them. Are you planning on 255s? Any way to test fit before you buy?
Since you're soliciting opinions...like the 5 spoke in general for ease of cleaning and "showing off" the brakes, but agree with surferdude re: wheel rivets on this car (IMO). Also, I think there's another thread recently polling people w/20s, and many didn't like the ride quality.

ya, ultimately, it's your own choice but read up on my thoughts on 20"... given the choice again, I wouldn't have upgraded my wheels.
