Amazing engine sound and I think that's a double clutch 'box I'm hearing.

Not exactly a beauty, but it's not ugly either.

But it sounds so good!

....and all this for a paltry 375k euros.
Thanks, for that kind of $$ I'd rather have an Italia AND Bentley Speed for daily grind.

We've been waiting centuries for this car and now it arrives it costs €375,000??!!?!!???!!!

What are those guys smoking in Japan. They must be insane.

What would you rather drive one of these, a Ferrari 458 Italia or McLaren MP-4-12C?

i wouldn't buy into what the media says about the price. afaik no official lexus release has stated cost in any market. pragmatically, this car has rel low torque for such an engine- despite its light weight. i am not sure how hard it is going to pull at high speeds. i am sure it will handle very well- with the likes of an Italia, or R8 V10 LMS version, and GTR but i expect that it will cost less than 200K USD. definitely not 400K.

The kerb weight is the one you usually go by. That's all fluids and half a tank. The GTR's kerb is 1738kg.

Gross weight includes driver and other stuff.

Official release from Toyota at Tokyo Show, lists the price in Japan at 37.5 mln Yen and $375k base in USA.

thanks for the info. they are not as crazy as i thought. but still crazy. though they will market adjust for the US market and still put it close to 300K. about 60K more than an Italia.

i'd get an Italia and an S4 as a daily driver for that money. the Italia looks better, sounds better, better gearbox, and faster.

It's a great car but unless the handling and track performance are on another planet it's going to be a tough sell next to a Ferrari F458 or McLaren MP4-12C, both of which are lighter, pack more power, have dual-clutch and stronger heritage.

As already pointed out, I can also live with the looks, but they were smoking CRACK on the price. I was not aware cocaine and LSD were legal in Japan. ;)

Kinda like the engine specs and the looks of it, but the price is insane.

They'll also make a loss on each one at that price apparently. So far the best lap the production vehicle has made on the 'ring is 7:30. They'd better hope to knock 20 seconds off that given the price.
