Like most of the time the DTM championship will be decided in the last race on Hockenheim.
Also like always the final DTM race is never a clean fair race.
Mercedes will most likely have something up there sleeve to try to win the championship.
By knocking out Audi's leader they can win the championship in the last race.
If Audi not win the DTM this year by unfair Mercedes driving Audi can decide to pull out.

In that case there are two options.
1) The DTM as we know it comes to a end (i hope so)
2) Seat take over with the Exeo.

Either way Audi get free to do something else beside LeMans.

Outcome No. 2 is more likely, I think... VAG is ''pushing'' Seat into motorsport, and with WTCC they had a result...

Norbert Haug has publicly stated that Mercedes have more or less given up on the championship fight, despite being handed a podium lockout on a plate after Audi's freak series of punctures at Dijon yesterday.

For Paffet to win overall he must finish first at Hockenheim, with Scheider no better than sixth. Remember too that Paffet will be carrying an extra 10kgs after his win.

There will be no new 3th car maker entering the DTM in 2010.
There is a total development stop effective from September 2009/Nürburgring till the end of the 2010 DTM season.
In 2011 there will be new technical rules for the DTM to make it more easy for other carmakers to enter DTM.

Case closed!

Audi wins for 3rd consequtive time (the 1st DTM triple! for a manufacturer) :applause:

Time Scheider defends his title :0:

Audi will be back in 2010 to defend the title (and make it a quattro?)

Look forward to the next season. :incar:

It was a nice clean title race for the exception.
Normal, title races are not that clean.

No quattro in the DTM 2010, maybe (but i doubt it) in 2011 with new regulations.
