An Audi S4 V8 Avant accelerating into the night.

Listen to the sound... :MTM: :s4addict:

Audi S4 V8. 0 - 100 km/h (ftp://www.rs6.com/rs6.com/RS6-COM-S4-V8-0-100.wmv)

Audi S4 V8. 0 - 240 km/h and 0 - 200 km/h. (ftp://www.rs6.com/rs6.com/RS6-COM-S4-V8-0-240.wmv)

Save as...

40 seconds to hit 150mph...

Impressive vehicle. I'm starting to like this more and more.

I just couldn't give up on the M5 though... :(

Thanks for the video.

How was the first > second gear change? It didn't sound all to sweet to me.

0 - 200 km/h in about 20 seconds. And notice that you have to change into 5:th gear around 190-195 km/h...

The microphone is in the back, by the spare wheel.

Apparently some plastic that moves when shifting, so nothing to worry about.

I've turned my stopwatch, while watching the video.

Very impressive result on the speedometer:

0-200 km/u : 19.5 sec.
0-240 km/u : 35.7 sec.

Anyway, the official results for the S4 Avant when viewed and analyzed with the two files: RS6-0-100 and RS6-0-240 in Adobe Premiere are:

From 0-100kph with something like a 1/10s error margin at most: *** 5.27s ***
1st gear/7k: 60kph

------

From 0-200kph with something like a 1/4s error margin at most (200kph line is not clear when viewing frame by frame):
*** 19.27s ***
1st gear/7000rpm: 60kph
2nd gear/7200rpm: 110kph
3rd gear/7000rpm: 150kph
4th gear/7000rpm: 192kph

IMO, the driver is getting almost everything the car can give.

Those two videos are too cool...

How much more does an avant weigh more than the sedan?

I **guess** something about 200 pounds... Usually, a rule of thumb is *roughly* .1s for every 100 pounds with two cars of equal power...

In sweden we have a saying "Almost as a half.."
(you guys who don't know what that means simply have to figure it out :hihi: )
..and I tell you, watching these movies puts a whole new perspective to it.. :D :D

This car is brutal! And I love it!!

To Erik I can only say: -Thanks !!
This is the best help a man can get...waiting on a new Audi S4.. :360:
Only one more thing! I hope there's more from where this came.. ;) ..it's quite habit-forming..
