On the new VW T5 - Caravelle-Transporter you can have the 2.0 tdi twin-turbo with 180hp(also with DSG and 4motion) .When will be available (and with more power) also for audi-vw cars?
I know audi already unveiled some years ago this project but it's time to mount it!
Bmw has it,Fiat group too (new bi-tdi for alfa 149 with 200-210hp)...we have to wait the new A3 to see this engine?

It needs more power...they had 170Hp with a single turbo, what is the second one doing? :D

Thank God...! It was about time...
I think that this 180 hp version is just a beggining... It has 400 Nm !!!, so expect some good things to come... :D
also, it crossed my mind that in the future maybe every 2.0 TDI will be bi turbo, while 1.6 TDI will take the power ranges up to 150 hp...

Maybe in new A3 if new version of DSG becomes available till then.
Problem is in that 400Nm that are too much for current DSG. DSG is Golf R/Scirocco R is good for up to 380Nm as real maximum.
Bigger chances are that you will see new 200ps version in current A4/A5 family models mated with 7 speed S Tronic.

I heard the Bi-turbo will be seen in a VW first, probably a Passat and the figure of 204ps was mentioned.

It was only a guess as to whether the it would appear first in the Passat, I honestly don't know. Another possible would be their big SUV which is meant to be shedding something like 200-300kgs, that would give a bi-turbo 2.0 similar speed of the 3.0TDi.
