Hello guys,

A couple months ago, I asked you some opinion which car (two of RS6)
should I buy in Japan. Finally I made a contract to buy MY 03 C5 RS6!
(I decided to get the black one.)

BTW, I live in the northern part of Japan and we have much snow in winter.
I am going to get snow shoes for My RS6. She now puts on Audi OEM 19-inch
wheels with Pirelli P Zero Rosso (>50% wear). I think I must get new summer
tire near in future.

Here I hit upon some ideas what shall I do.

(1)Buy 18-inch winter tire and wheel, and 19-inch replace summer tire
(2)Buy 19-inch winter tire (using OEM wheel), and new summer tire and
wheel (19- or 20-inch).....if my wife allows:)

Please give me advice on winter and summer tire:bow:.
Plus, I am afraid that ride-feel (comfortability) get worth on 20-inch tire
and it may spoil the drivability...

Any comment (size, model and so on) is welcomed, ARIGATO!

Good luck with the new RS6.

My vote is to purchase the proper 18 rim/winter tire combo and then buy new summers for the stock 19s next year.

Or if your wife will allow.

Put the winters on the stock 19s and buy a new set of 19 rim/tire for the summer.

The best information is to stick with 19s on the C5 RS6. Search for the MTM Bimoto rims on the forum. There are some nice threads and pics.

Winter tire....Bridgestone LM22
Summer ....Michelin PS2

Thank you so much, DHall.
I will go 19-inch summer and winter tires.

Would you kindly tell me any on-line shop which offers cheaper price than TireRack, if you know, thanks.

On a side note, has anyone noticed that Tire Rack no longer carries Michelin PS2's for the RS6 (with the required XL load rating)? Are these discontinued all together, or did they just no longer feel the need to stock them?

Did you try calling them?

If you find out LMK. I will buy an extra set if the PS2s are getting the axe

Try Discount Tire...they have em. They match the price for me anyway (our Audi club gets a discount).
