Wow! About one hour ago Audi posted a video on Facebook!!!

All there is in it is words, and here they are!

What happened to electricity?

It got dumbed down and domesticated!
It's stuck inside toothbrushes and coffee makers!

But on Semptember 15, 2009.
electricitiy, and all its force and power
WILL RUN WILD AND FREE AND COMPLETELY UNTAMED!

Here is the video...

that puppy is not an R8.

hopefully it is a design study for the replacement... and the powerplant an excuse to show it.

Qisha.. any reaction to my statement? :)

Dear RXBG,

the R8 will be continued after its first lifecycle. The positioning after the consolidation has not been decided yet.

Well, there are a whole bunch of Hybrid cars at Frankfurt. And the teaser points out, we are not looking at a Hybrid from Audi.

Remember the "Fluxcapacitor"?:jlol:

Audi R8: Electric version to be called Audi e-tron?

Dear Qisha,

Thank you very much for a big clue about Audi's IAA concept vehicle. According to your information, Audi will be introducing an electric vehicle ("EV") using a capacitance storage either in conjunction with a battery pack or without. EEStor is a Texas-based privately held company working on developing a super capacitor system for an EV to be built by Zenn Motor Company of Canada.

I also know that Volkswagen operates an electronics research laboratory with Stanford University since 1998. Researchers at Stanford developed a flux capacitor that relies on fractal mathematics for the capacitor plates.

A capacitor-based EV has several advantages over a battery-based EV. Capacitors reduce charging time to a few minutes, there are no issues with overcharging/overheating, and they exhibit no memory permitting complete discharging of the device. Unfortunately, capacitors while having greater power densities than batteries, capacitors have lower energy densities.

I guess we will learn more in about eleven days.

Yes, it will be Bluesport based IMHO.
